What is Vantis Follicle Replication?
The Vantis Follicle Replication is an effective hair loss solution that exactly mimics your own biological hair follicles without surgery. Treatment involves a non-invasive method of inserting completely organic, plant-based pigment deposits through the dermal layer of the scalp. The pigment deposits perfectly replicate hair follicles and create an immediate appearance of a full head of hair.
When will I see my final results?
You will see immediate results beginning with your very first treatment. Most clients require two-four treatments to achieve their final desired result. Your body will reject much of the pigment we use in your first treatment. For density treatments your hair can appear 10 times denser with each treatment. Your practitioner will advise you on the recommended time between each treatment which averages one-two weeks between treatments.
Are treatments painful?
The discomfort experienced during a treatment depends on the person. Some areas of the scalp (hairline, temples, scar tissue) are more sensitive than others. Clients generally describe the sensation as “irritating” or “uncomfortable” rather than painful. If you do have any pain during your treatment, we can administer topical numbing cream or provide pain medication. Once the entire treatment is finished you may feel a slight tenderness that will quickly subside.
Will this damage my hair or cause side effects?
Vantis Follicle Replication does not cause trauma to the hair follicles. The most common side effect is minor discomfort and redness after treatment. Our pigments are 100% organic and plant based and there could be a potential for an allergy to the pigment. None of our clients have ever had an allergic reaction and the risk is deemed exceedingly rare. Occasionally some clients report having a headache after treatment.
How long will my Vantis Follicle Replication treatment last?
Vantis is considered a permanent medical solution with prominent effects. It will gradually lighten but will never discolor.
Can I stop using topical concealers after my treatment?
Yes you can, after your very first treatment. You will have the freedom to engage in physical and social activities with greater confidence without the embarrassing fussy mess.
How much does Vantis cost?
During your Free Consultation, our team will evaluate your case and provide a personalized price quote based on your individual needs. Price is dependent upon the area of your scalp needing to be covered, the desired density, and the treatment of any scars. Most clients will need a minimum of two-three treatments to complete a treatment. In general, treatment pricing varies between $800 - $15k depending on the work required to design your Perfect Aesthetic Hairline™.
How long is a typical Vantis treatment?
Treatments take two-five hours. Your practitioner will be able to give you a clear time estimate at your first consultation. Most patients report that treatments seem much shorter than they actually take.
How soon after my Vantis treatment can I return to work?
Most clients return to work the same day or the day after treatment. Any redness and swelling will subside within one-three days. If you had a scar treated, the redness and swelling may last a bit longer and generally will subside after 10-14 days.
Is there a difference between Vantis Follicle Replication and a tattoo?
Absolutely, they are completely different in most regards.Tattoo’s are generally performed in a tattoo parlor by someone who is not a medical professional and not trained to achieve a natural effect. Tattoos use ink that is deposited deep into the skin, in a region called the dermis, at a depth of 3.5 mm. The needles used are thick and carry lots of ink. In contrast, Vantis treatments are performed by expert medical practitioners, in a medical clinic, with strong medical backgrounds. Our practitioners are trained in paramedical aesthetic micropigmentation and use specialized equipment that is entirely different from the devices used in tattoo parlors. Vantis treatments are performed with one-time usage micro-needles many times smaller than tattoo needles. We use a proprietary physician-formulated pigment that is 100% organic and plant based. Our pigment is blended specifically to match your hair color and designed to resist the discoloration seen with traditional tattoos. Importantly, our pigment will gradually fade and lighten, rather than discolor to an unnatural green-blue hue.
How many treatments do I need?
For density and hairline restoration, Vantis requires a minimum of two treatments. Your skin will reject some of the pigment immediately after your first treatment. The results after your first treatment will be dramatically pleasing, but will fade quickly as your skin rejects some pigment. The second treatment will give you a much more completed look. Third treatments are generally where we refine and perfect the aesthetics of your treatment.
How long does each treatment take?
Each treatment is typically two-four hours. The first treatment is typically the longest as we are constructing the hairline and establishing the foundational layer. Each subsequent treatment is typically shorter.
Who designs my hairline?
Determining the perfect hairline is a close collaboration between you and your Vantis practitioner. Vantis practitioners are all highly-trained experts, skilled in designing hairlines that appear natural and undetectable. Ultimately you are in absolute control with our expert practitioner guiding you to achieve a natural and aesthetically accurate final result.
Do I need to take time off from work?
You do not need to take any time off from work after your treatment. Vantis Follicle Replication is non-invasive and nonsurgical. Many of our clients come in for treatment and go back home on the same day, and start work again the following day.
Can people see I’ve had a treatment?
Initially after the first treatment the pigments will look bolder as they are freshly deposited. Overnight you will notice the pigments softening and fading. Redness will disappear in 48-72 hours. Intensity of redness is based on sensitivity of the skin, but more or less clients will notice significantly less redness 48 hours after the first treatment. After the initial settling process is finished, your treatment will look completely natural.
Can Vantis conceal scars?
Yes! The Vantis treatment isn’t just for male pattern baldness. It is also used to conceal scars from previous surgeries or injuries. Both FUE and FUT transplant scars can be concealed with Vantis. Every Vantis practitioner received the highest-level paramedical training directly from our Clinical Director Jessica Oslo, MA.
Do I need to cut my hair before the treatment?
If we are doing a filler treatment or scar concealment, we typically request clients to come in with the shortest hair length they are going to keep, unless requested otherwise. You will be given specific instructions at your consultation.
Will it affect the treatment if I continue to shave my head?
You can shave your head every day and wash it as well, the treatment will not be damaged as it is in your epidermis layer. As a matter of fact, the majority of our clients who have this treatment shave every day!
What about direct sunlight exposure?
Overexposure to direct sunlight is regarded negatively whether you've had a treatment or not. Direct overexposure can cause the pigment to weaken, and over time you will be damaging your treatment and scalp. Please always wear protective sunscreen or a hat whenever you are expecting to be in direct sunlight for over an hour.
What about privacy during my treatments?
Vantis Institute, Newport Beach serves appreciated by high-profile clients from around the world who value their privacy and our discretion. We are located down a private corridor within a medical building catering to aesthetic treatments and surgery. Celebrity and VIP client accommodations are available through a dedicated entrance and exit at the back of our building that leads directly into our suite for absolute discretion. Our clinic is very private, with an out-of-view reception lounge behind large frosted glass doors. Each of our spacious treatment rooms are brilliantly appointed and afford absolute privacy. Of course, we are both OSHA, OCHCA and HIPPA compliant.
What are my payment and financing arrangements?
Your consultation is Free during our normal operating hours. We can accommodate your off-hours schedule with a non-refundable deposit that will be credited towards your treatment. Your scheduled treatment date is secured with a $250 booking deposit. Your treatment cost can be split between your first two treatments. We accept all major credit cards and have 0% financing options over 6, 12, and 18 months when you pay within the promotional period with CareCredit.
Should I tip my practitioner?
Our practitioners are medically trained experts and tips are never expected but appreciated.
Is my treatment detectable?
No, your treatment is virtually undetectable and aesthetically natural. Even up close, it is nearly impossible to tell the difference between the perfectly matched individual hair follicles we replicate next to your biological follicles.
Can Vantis camouflage or conceal my transplant scar?
Yes! By replicating tiny hair follicles inside the scarring and blending the color around the scarring area, transplant and surgical scars can see massive improvement in concealment.
If I am lighter or darker skin tone will my treatment still look good?
Yes! We are able to match the shade of our pigment to a wide range of skin tones. Whether you are Caucasian, African-American, Hispanic, Asian, or Pacific Islander and much more...Vantis will work for you.
Will Vantis work with gray hair?
Yes. Vantis Follicle Replication works with every hair color.
If I have hair left, can I leave it long?
Absolutely. Most of our clients are actors, executives, and professionals who want to appear with a thicker fuller head of hair. Vantis is the established leader in micropigmentation density treatments solving bald spots, hiding thinning hair, and blending receding hairlines.
Can I still use and/or Rogaine after my treatment?
You can continue using during and after your treatment. Rogaine (topical minoxidil) should be suspended during the course of treatment and for 14 days post your final treatment. After 14 days we recommend clients continue a daily topical maintenance application of VANTIS Formula 64™ to invigorate, stimulate, and regrow your hair.

What an amazing experience. I have thinning hair on top of my head and I'm constantly using fillers, powders and sprays to cover my spots. Seeing Jessica was honestly, one of the best decisions I have made. She made me feel so comfortable with the whole process. She explained VFR step-by-step answering all of my questions. I have so much extra time in the morning now that I don't have to worry about covering my spots. I have so much extra time in the morning now to focus on my outfit and makeup. Thank you so much to the team for changing my life!
